Popped in for lunch with partner & three dogs yesterday on the way back from Norfolk. Although we had actually missed lunch by a few minutes we were still served, and both we and the dogs were made to feel very welcome by both the staff and the resident Spaniel, Otis. This has consistently been one of my favourite pubs in the county for many years, and I have never been disappointed yet. Always excellent food and service. —
A great little pub full of character, history and friendly people ,my wife and i had a meal in the 14x seater restaurant the food was excellent and the service second to none.we called in at lunchtime for an excellent pint of tiger beer and booked for a meal in the evening we asked for the lamb and the landlord not only went to the local butchers for it but also cooked it for us superb.!! —
The Christmas Menu was fantastic! We had the turkey which was so moist it was unbelieveable and the steaks were cooked to perfection! I can be very fussy with my steak, but I was able to tell them how I liked it and it was cooked exactly how I ordered it! We can highly recommend the Anne of Cleves for a meal and a decent pint or 5 :-) —
Its the best food I have had anywhere that I have been (including 5* restaurants). The fillet Steak is second to none, I fully recommend this place to anybody for service & food! — , Melton Mowbray
I sat in the best beer garden in the East Midlands on one of the hottest days of the year! Could not of been any better.... One of the best kept pub gardens I have ever been in! — , Colsterworth, Lincs
Beautiful setting in a wonderful market town. I took the whole family for a fantastic meal and all the staff were superb. Highly recommend it and they serve a great pint of Tiger — , Nottingham
